The Escambia County School District is the organization responsible for the administration of public schools in Escambia County, Florida, in the United States. The district currently administers 35 elementary schools, nine middle schools, and seven high schools, as well as a number of specialized centers. The district is administered by an elected superintendent and a five-member school board. The current Superintendent of Schools is Malcolm Thomas, whose initial four-year term began November 18, 2008, and who was re-elected to a second term that began November 20, 2012. The Deputy Superintendent of Schools is Norm Ross, the former principal of Pensacola High School. ==Board== The members of the school board are:〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://escambia.k12.fl.us/board_page/home.html )〕 * District 1 - Jeff Bergosh * District 2 - Gerald Boone * District 3 - Linda Moultrie * District 4 - Patty Hightower (Chair) * District 5 - Bill Slayton ( Vice Chair) These members are elected in their respective districts for a four-year term. The District 4 and 5 representatives, along with the superintendent, are elected in Presidential election years. District 1, 2, and 3 members are elected in non-Presidential election years. Although elected by districts, each member is charged by statute with representing the entire district. Because the school board elections are non-partisan, these races are frequently decided in the primary. If a candidate gets a majority of the vote in the primary, he or she wins, and the race is not on the general election ballot in November. If no candidate has a majority of the vote, the top two are in a run off on the November ballot. The position of superintendent is a partisan election. 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Escambia County School District」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
